| So, Yeah, I'm Behind..... Hey Guys, It's Sunday morning and I'm sitting during free time, just chillin'. Hopefully, we'll watch some movies later! That Psalm I wanted you to look up is Psalm 46. My bible has a sort of "Index" that says which versus to look up if you are having troubles with certain issues in your life. I looked up anxious and that's the verse that I came up with. I thought that it was perfect for this situtation, for a number of reasons. Look it up, you'll see!!! Do me a favor, talk to Great Grandma Luebcke for me. First all all, tell her that I love and miss her! Second, she told me a story taht I would like her to write or type out for me. I don't remember all of the details, that's why I want to have a copy of it, so I don't forget it completely. I think she said it was the day Grandma Morgan was born, that she looked out the window and saw (and remember this is just what I think she said, it is kind of hazy in my mind) a white arch with roses running up it and two doves that flew down and landed on it. That's all I remember, but I think she should tell the story! I was thinking about it the other day and I wanted to make sure I had all of my facts straight. **sigh** What else? It doesn't hurt quite as bad (though it still burns like fire) when I pee. They gave me some antibiotics so "things" didn't get infected after they shoved the camera up.... yeah. I think that's the reason I'm feeling a little better. I still have a constant stomach ache and it feels as if my kidneys are going to explode, but at least SOME of the pain is gone! I'm looking for an opportunity to talk to my SDI about trying to expedite the process of my next appointment. The less time I spend in MRP, the better! I haven't gotten the second package yet, but we haven't received ANY mail since the last time when I got the first one! Some recruit's mom sent him cookies and every recruit here (about 75) got 2 or 3 cookies. If you were to send something sweet for the recruits and say it was for my birthday, we will probably get to eat them (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). I was craving Al's peanut butter popcorn the other day, but I don't know how well that would travel. LOL And if you are going to send food, make sure you send 1 extra package for the DIs. They always take some as a tax - the bastards! (Of course, you know I'm kidding, I'm just dreaming and making my mouth water.) It's nice to dream! And now it's time for... Jake's quote of the week - "As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I have no fear, for I am the baddest Mother Fucker in the entire valley!" I don't remember who said it, and I don't think it's word for word, but it's pretty close. All I know is that it was some Marine General. That's about it for this issue. Tune in next time when recruit Wolff finds out that he is actually an alien robot, sent to this earth to explore the wonders of comic books, video games, and Mt. Dew! (I know, I know! I'm weird!) (Inside joke: I LOVE YOU THIIIIIIIISSSSSS MUCH! (and that's a lot!). Jacob D. Wolff | God Is Our Refuge and Strength | | To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Al'amoth. | (aka Psalm 46)
| | 1 | God is our refuge and strength,
| | | a very present help in trouble. |
| | 2 | Therefore will not we fear,
| | | though the earth be removed, | | and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; |
| | 3 | though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
| | | though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. |
| | 4 | There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God,
| | | the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High. |
| | 5 | God is in the midst of her;
| | | she shall not be moved: | | God shall help her, and that right early. |
| | 6 | The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved:
| | | he uttered his voice, the earth melted. |
| | 7 | The LORD of hosts is with us;
| | | the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. |
| | 8 | Come, behold the works of the LORD,
| | | what desolations he hath made in the earth. |
| | 9 | He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth;
| | | he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; | | he burneth the chariot in the fire. |
| | 10 | Be still, and know that I am God:
| | | I will be exalted among the heathen, | | I will be exalted in the earth. |
| | 11 | The LORD of hosts is with us;
| | | the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah. |
